It is factual now that Microsoft is introducing Intel-powered models of its Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7. Made accessible on February 18th, both of these new Microsoft Surface devices are Copilot Plus PCs, but in place of using Qualcomm’s Arm-based Snapdragon X series of chips, they’ll use Intel’s Lunar Lake processors.
These Business devices come with Intel’s latest Core Ultra 5 and Core Ultra 7 mobile CPUs which have 40 TOPS and 47 TOPS NPUs, respectively. The two devices also provide either 16GB or 32GB of RAM, up to 1TB of portable SSD storage, two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4/USB4 capabilities, and a Microsoft Pluton security processor. They are what Microsoft now calls “Secured-core PCs” offering the highest level of protection against security attacks.
The Surface Laptop 7 for corporate use will start at $1,499.99, which is $500 more than the retail price of the Qualcomm edition. The screens will be available in two variant sizes, a 13.8-inch, and a larger 15-inch model. Both systems will be arranged with Intel Core Ultra 5 or Ultra 7 chips, up to 32GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage.
Microsoft is guaranteeing up to 14 hours of battery life (depending upon active web usage) on the 15-inch model and up to 12 hours on the 13.8-inch variant. These predictions are only an hour behind the same figures Microsoft offers for the Qualcomm edition of the Surface Laptop 7.
The most versatile, most dynamic 2-in-1 out there. With AI-accelerated Copilot+ experiences and technology built to keep you engaged, Surface Pro 11th Edition, a Copilot+ PC is a laptop, reimagined.
