This week, Timekettle launched its latest earbuds, the W4 Pro at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. This innovative product aims to boost the mission of the startup by offering real-time two-way translation for phone and video calls.
These earbuds will effortlessly begin translation calls in 40 different languages without any action required from the user. As anticipated, there is a slight delay of about three to five seconds after speech is detected.
As per a statement made by Timekettle, “This newly introduced feature enables two-way translations that make cross-lingual conversations effortless across any telecommunication platform or traditional phone system. It ensures bidirectional synchronous translations while maintaining the integrity of the original voice quality.”
However, the translated audio will be louder than the original sound. Beyond translations, the earbuds make use of onboard AI to summarize the key points of the conversation.
The W4 Pro can also work like previous models of Timekettle models that allow users to share an earbud for face-to-face translations. These headphones are powered by the newly launched Babel OS which as stated by Timekettle, “provides rapid transitions with solutions that can predict speech, adapt to personalized lexicons, and convey real human emotion and tone.”
This operating system will also be available for older models. The W4 Pro earbud will be available for users to purchase beginning from Sunday with a price tag of $449.
